Enjoy the beauty of Dow Gardens & Whiting Forest from the comfort of a golf cart! Golf cart tours are available May – September. Maximum of 5 guests per cart tour. Tours last approximately 2 hours.
Tour availability is limited and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. $20 Cart Reservation Fee + Daily Admission. Reservation fee and general admission reservation must be paid at the time of booking. Reservations can be made by calling 989.631.2677.
PINES TOURS
Thursdays & Fridays, March - November | 11 AM & 1:30 PM
Step into the world of Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow when you tour The Pines, a National Historic Landmark. The home is filled with treasures collected by the Dow family, and trained docents will share the stories that make these artifacts come to life. Visitors will see books read by the Dow children and clothing worn by Grace Dow within the walls they called home. Tours last approximately one hour and will include stairs.
Adults: $8 + garden admission. Children 4-17: $5 + garden admission. Children 3 and under will be admitted at no cost.

Explore 110 acres of Dow Gardens and Whiting Forest with our interactive map. Find favorite spots like the Canopy Walk, Children’s Garden, The Pines, the Orchard, meadows, and trails and then chart an easy route. HERBERT DOW'S GARDEN TOURS
Join us for a stroll back in time! Visitors will meet on the porch of The Pines, the home of Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow, and partake in a guided walking tour through the gardens. Photographs, along with letters and journals from the archive will shed light on how the property looked when it was the private residence of the Dow family.
