Event Details

William J. Hale married Helen Dow, the oldest of the Dow children in 1917. After that Hale went on to work for the Dow Chemical Company and became known for his ingenuity and ability to improve production processes. Learn about Hale’s interests in agricultural alcohol and how he came to be known as the Father of Chemurgy at Fridays at The Pines.

This event costs $7 for adults and $3 for children. Children under 5 are free. We ask that guests arrive at the Dow Gardens Visitors Center at least 15 minutes early, to ensure they have time to walk back to The Pines. Gardens admission is also required.
